Dear DCH Friends,
We would like to ask for your help in supporting our 3rd Annual Dienst Custom Homes Wish House. We are thrilled to announce some changes in the event that we think will make it a lot of fun for the participants, beneficial for the sponsors and more profitable for The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central & Western North Carolina. In lieu of a specific house built for this wonderful event, we will feature one of our homes that will be complete and available for the event in September. We have also added some new and exciting Exclusive Sponsorship opportunities.
Last year DCH raised $77,000, through sponsorships and the auction, which granted about 15 wishes. This could not have been accomplished without everyone’s support. It was a fabulous event filled with joy and gratification knowing that so many individuals and companies could come together and provide the needed resources for the Make-A-Wish® children in our area. Four of those amazing children are pictured below.
Matt Reynolds, a Make-A-Wish child, attended the event and did a wonderful job in speaking about the importance of granting wishes to children and their families that are struggling with a life threatening illness. We are pleased to say that we saw Matt at Homearama recently; he has completed his treatments and received good news from his most recent reports. Matt is completing 6th grade and is looking forward to 7th grade.
As you all are aware, this event is a tremendous undertaking for a small company but we know that we can achieve our goal of providing 16 wishes or raising $100,000 for Make-A-Wish with your continued generosity. We are moving up the date to September 21, 2007; now is the perfect time to think about what you can do individually and/or corporately to provide one lasting wish to children in our area who do not deserve to be suffering as they do.
Enclosed you will find information on our sponsorship levels that we’d like for you to seriously consider. Any gift, no matter the size, will assist us in meeting this challenging goal. Help us grant a “Wish” by supporting the DCH Wish House. Thank you for your continued support.
Warmest Regards,
Jocelyn Dienst Managing Partner
