Community Involvement / Make a Wish / Letter from Jocelyn

May 30, 2008

Dear Friends of Dienst Custom Homes,

We would like to request your support of our 4th Annual Dienst Custom Homes Wish House. Throughout the past three years, we have learned much about our fundraising goals, our sponsors and what we would like the event to become. Each year we hope to build upon the success and experience of the previous years to make an even better event. We want to make it easier for everyone to be a part of this effort and meet the ultimate goal of serving The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central & Western North Carolina and the children of our community.
To update you on last year’s “Wish Kids”, Katherine was able to spend some quality time with the characters at Disney World, the animals at Sea World and her family. Sutton’s wish sent him to the Bahamas to see an exotic beach. Rikki got her chance to be a cover model on a trip to New York City—she looked fabulous for the cameras! Jason will head to Las Vegas this summer for the Monster Truck Jam.
Last year we were able to exceed our goal of raising $100,000 which granted about 16 wishes. This could not have been accomplished without the great support we received. It was a fabulous event filled with joy and gratification knowing that so many individuals and companies could come together and provide the needed resources for the Make-A-Wish® children in our area.
We are really happy to announce a special partnership with SouthPark Magazine this year. Our “Wish House” is being featured in a monthly editorial so that readers can follow the building of this beautiful home that will host the Gala Event on November 1st. We have set our goal of granting 20 wishes or raising $120,000 for Make-A-Wish and are counting on the continued generosity of our friends and associates. Now is the perfect time to think about what you can do individually and/or corporately to provide one lasting wish to a child in our area who does not deserve to be suffering as they do.
Any gift, no matter the size, will assist us in meeting this challenging goal and sponsorships are tax-deductible (cost of food and entertainment excluded). Please help us grant the “wishes” of children in our community by supporting the DCH Wish House and returning the enclosed sponsorship form as soon as possible. If you have any questions or would like more information about the event, please contact our event coordinator, Amy DeWitt at adewittt@diensthomes.com. Thank you for your continued support.

Warmest Regards,

Jocelyn Dienst
